Pet-friendly

We welcome pets at Talbot Trout Farm.

All our Cottages have fenced in gardens that are safe for your pets to play around in while you can relax.

Your dogs are allowed in the cottages, but please not on our furniture.  Should you bring your own blankets to cover the furniture, your dogs are welcome to join you on the coach.

Please remember to bring your dog’s bowls and bedding with as we do not provide any.

We do recommend that you keep your puppies on leash while out and about exploring or fishing as we have zebras, donkeys and other wildlife roaming free on the farm.

Fishing

Talbot Trout Farm offers 10 well stocked dams as well as more than 2 km of natural streams.

Our dams are stocked with up to trophy-sized rainbow and brown trout.

We work on a catch and release basis.

Only barbless hooks are allowed to be used for fishing.

Should you wish to retain your catch for personal use, we charge per live-weight and will be happy to help.

Drinking Water

Our Cottages are supplied with mineral water fresh from our farm spring. The spring water is filtered to produce the highest levels of purification for your enjoyment and is palatable.

Electricity

Solar panels power our cottages and provide a stable supply of 220v.

This is unfortunately not sufficient to power electrical devices with heating elements such as hair dryers and toasters.

Smoking

You are kindly requested to refrain from smoking indoors.

Ashtrays have been supplied in outside areas.

Please help us to keep our farm clean and do not dispose of cigarette butts in the wild.
